FIVE COMPLEXES BY MOROCCO 800 MW NOOR MIDELT SOLAR-THERMAL PHOTOVOLTAIC HYBRID POWER PLANT BIDDING PRE-QUALIFICATION

Recently, Morocco renewable energy administration (MASEN) announced a finalist Noor Midelt integrated solar energy power station (800 mw), the first phase of the tender pre-qualification list of five complexes.Noor Midelt project planning for thermal and photovoltaic hybrid power generation forms, for the global solar energy complex initiative.A total installed is expected to be 400 MW, 150-150 MW, the thermal storage time minimum 5 hours of thermal power plant.

Formally adopted the pre-qualification of association are:

1, ACWA Power consortium: international water and electric Power engineering company, general electric company

2, EDF Energies Nouvelles consortium: EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF), ABU dhabi Future Energy Co. PJSC, Masdar, Green of Africa, Sener Ingeneria Y Sistemas

3, ENGIE consortium: International Power S.A (ENGIE), Nareva Holding S.A., SolarReserve LLC, Solaire Direct S.A.S

4, Innogy SE consortium: Innogy SE, Belectric GmbH and Ferrostaal Industrial Projects GmbH

5, JGC consortium: JGC Corporation, Abener EnergiaS. A

The project bidding process started in July 2016.
As of November 2016, a total of seven consortium submitted proposal, including five prequalified.
MASEN will soon start the next stage of bidding process, for submission requirements proposal (Request forProposal, RfP).

Noor Midelt two issue of project planning (CSP) of field and photovoltaic (PV) power plant.
Photovoltaic power station installed by the bidder to decide on their own, but no more than 20% of the net capacity of the thermal power station at night.
According to the preliminary design, the solar hybrid power station project will be located at about 25 kilometers northeast Midelt, covers an area of 3000 hectares.

Noor Midelt project is part of the Moroccan Noor solar energy plan.
CSP Focus has previously reported, the plan to 2020 achieved 42% proportion of renewable energy to total energy (solar power to 2 GW, a total investment of us $9 billion).
So far, 680 MW of installed, distribution in Ouarzazate, Laayoune ayoob, Boujdour and other regions.

Located in central Morocco, Della vera (Draa – Tafilalet) area DE Mr Zatlers (Ouarzazate) city of Noor Ouarzazate comprehensive project total installed solar power up to 580 mw, is currently the world’s largest, covers an area of 2000 hectares, at a cost of $2.7 billion.
By the integrated project of three solar-thermal power stations and a photovoltaic power station.
In April this year, the project is the fourth stage (final stage) of 70 MW Noor Quarzazate IV ground-broken photovoltaic power station, means that all the power station project has entered into the phase of construction.

1, Noor I, 160 MW thermal groove (3 hours) for storing heat, in February 2016, put into operation, the electricity price is about 0.15 euros per KWH, 1.183 yuan.
2, Noor II, 200 MW thermal groove (7 hours) for storing heat, completion rate of 76%;
3, Noor III, 150 MW light tower (8 hours) for storing heat, hot melt salt completion rate of 74%;
4, Noor IV, 70 MW photovoltaic power station, in April 2017, the construction period is expected for one year.
