Biography

“Ali Zerouali is Heading Masen’s International Cooperation and Business Development

Graduating with a computer engineering diploma (with a specialization in the management of information systems) at Mines de Paris and HEC Paris, Zerouali worked at BNP Paribas, focusing on international strategy in Eastern Europe.

Also at BNPP, Zerouali participated to the acquisition of pure online credit players.

Zerouali subsequently joined Accenture Financial Services and worked especially on strategic projects including the merger between Cetelem and UCB to form the first European player in personal loans; the Sofinco-Finaref merger that

created the French market leader in consumer finance; and the restructuring of several Moroccan companies as Phone Group (the first call center in Morocco) and energy player Emteyco.

Zerouali then joined UTC (a group including OTIS, RFM, Pratt & Whitney, Carrier and Chubb), as CEO, to create and oversee an outsourcing platform in Casablanca that would address the group’s needs in Europe.

Today, Zerouali is in charge of Institutional Cooperation and International business development out of Morocco for Masen. A special focus is made on South-South Cooperation to share Moroccan know-how with sub-Saharian countries and on development of Renewable Energy projects. Also, another focus is about  the development of North-South Cooperation in order to open the path to the sustainable electricity trade between Morocco, Spain, Portugal, France and Germany.”
